Children of the Future Watercolor Series
Children of the Future is a series of watercolor and pen drawings that features children in innocent scene or activity with a disastrous, almost dystopian-like background.
The idea started based on drawings I had done about 10 years for a potential client who wanted Victorian-stylized drawings, which invokes this innocence feeling. Over the years, I then started to collect Victorian cards for inspiration with drawing, coloring, and typography.
I then elaborated on the theme by using innocence in the face of disaster. At the heart of all man-made issues and disasters, children are the ultimate victims.
All works are white cotton rag Khadi A5, Windsor & Newton watercolor, and Micron pen.
