30 Days of Horror Movies 2020
Every August, I return to my favorite kind of challenge: watching horror movies and making alternative movie poster.
This year, I worked on my drawing and illustration in Procreate. Therefore, I create a set of hand drawn letters I could easily reuse and a single color palette thus allowing me to work on the actual drawing.
There are a lot more good horror movies I found on various streaming platforms. With the pandemic and the state of the US, many of the horror movies seem to be a reflection on current society and fears. Specifically any of the cult movies and The Platform, with its social commentary on the vicious cycle of capitalism and human nature. There is also this unique fear in inanimate objects and technology. The things we find comfort and solace in like homes and dolls become manifestation of our own fears. It’s one of the many reasons why I love watching horror movies.
