Run Like A Hobbit

The brand, Run Like A Hobbit is a barefoot running club started in NYC. For the logo, I went through many variations of designs (see hand drawn mock ups here) and presented these hand drawn versions to client who chose the last version.

I kept the logo as hand drawn and earthy as possible, choosing for earthy tones of green and brown. The play on positive and negative space for the logo really helps to enhance the love of barefoot running and the client’s love of “eating like a hobbit”. I also created a set of fonts specific to the logo that is used on the business cards.

It was by chance that I had a real hobbit aka Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin) sign my designed racer tee!
